This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. This position has the option to begin in August as a 2-day position (Thursday and Friday) and transition to a 5-day position in November.

Hope Academy is a private, Christ-centered school serving a beautifully diverse community in the heart of urban Minneapolis. We are seeking a passionate, faith-filled Math Interventionist to provide support and instruction to students who are struggling with math. This position is a federally funded position.

Job Details

This is a posting for a 6th - 8th Grade Math Position with Title I for the 2026-27 school year. The position will start as a 13.3 hour/week position, 2 days a week (Thursday and Friday), from 9:55a-4:25p. The pay rate is $30-$40/hour based on experience. In November this role will shift to full-time, 35 hours/week, 5 days/week, and the schedule will be:

Monday: 8:30a-4:30p

Tuesday: 9:45a-4:30p

Wednesday: 9:45a-4:30p

Thursday: 9:45a-4:30p

Friday: 9:45a-4:30p

Once each month, the 8:30 a.m. start time shifts from Monday to Wednesday. During that week, Monday is 9:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Wednesday is 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Days subject to change while morning meeting schedules are being finalized.)

Note: On Fridays, the math interventionist will oversee a shared WIN time for both Title math and Title reading students. Reading assignments for students will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier II small group instruction to students who are identified as at-risk for math
  • Use evidence-based strategies and interventions to support student learning
  • Use progress monitoring to assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure students receive the support they need
  • Attend Title staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Faculty Qualifications

  • Minimum BS or BA in Education, Mathematics, or Related Field
  • Valid teaching license in good standing preferred
  • Training in intervention methods strongly preferred; please provide certificates
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
