Fall Youth Soccer (2nd-7th Grade) Registration Closes TODAY

Youth Soccer Registration is now open! Click below to register your student! Please fill out 1 form for each student participating. Registration closes 6/16.

Details:

  • Exact practice days/times will be announced by coaches via email. Teams will normally practice 2x a week 4:30-6. (2nd/3rd practice inside 4:30-5:30.) Games for 2nd/3rd will be on Saturdays. Games for 4th-7th could be on weeknights or Saturdays. Once Minneapolis Park and Rec makes the schedules (late Aug), they will be posted on the free Hope Academy Stack Team App.
  • The fee is $35 which will be charged to the student's account.
  • Minneapolis Park and Rec has now changed to different type of registration system. We are hoping we can continue running our programs as we have in the past. There may be a few differences that occur. If anything ends up changing for the fall, you will be notified ASAP.
  • All students must have a completed registration form before they can start coming to practices/games.
  • We are in great need of volunteer parent coaches. Teams cannot start practicing unless we have coaches. Please answer question #10 if you are willing to help out for the season.
  • After registration closes Monday 6/15 and teams are formed, you will be contacted by email by the coach of your team with more details by mid July. Season will start end of Aug/beginning of Sept.

We will make every effort to place your student on a team, but it is NOT a guarantee. Teams fill up fast and you may be placed on a waitlist. If you need an alternative team, check in with your local Park and Rec center, many parks have fall soccer teams. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Timm. heathertimm@hopeschool.org.

Are You in Need of Housing?

Do you know of a Hope family with children that is struggling with various challenges and searching for housing? If so, promptly go to the Normandalehouse.org website, click the "looking for housing" section, and fill out the short prequalification form.

Desiree Emanuel is the Normandale House Program Director and a community partner to Hope Academy. Desiree is in search for a working Hope Academy family that is in need of temporary housing. The family is able to secure a 1-year transitional program that will house a family in a 2-bedroom unit. The unit would accompany a family with no more than 2 children, and will be available in mid-July. The tenant pays only 30% of their income. Gas, electric, and internet will be provided to the family. A care team and Desiree will be assigned to work with the family to help remove the barriers they are facing.

If you or another family at Hope are in need, please contact Desiree Emanuel for more details at Demanuel@normandalehouse.org or (612) 416-4727.

Can't Log Into SchoolPass?

Can't Log In to SchoolPass? Follow these helpful steps:

1. Call the Main Office so we can reset your password. Confirm with us the email that the school has on file for you. We know the "Forgot Password" feature isn't working on the app for parents/guardians.

2. Check your email for a temporary password sent from noreply-6294@schoolpass.com and login to the app.

3. Once you're in the app, change your password from the temporary password, to something you'll remember. If you don't change your password, the temporary password will expire and you'll get locked out of the app again.

Please read below for some reminders about absences and early releases:

  • Mark any absences in the SchoolPass app by 10 am. It's important to report your child's absence so that you don't receive a text message indicating their absence.
  • You can mark absences in advance if needed.
  • All changes to dismissal plans need to be made in the app by 3:00 pm.
  • There are no early releases after 3:30 pm daily.
  • Students will only be called from class when their parent/guardian is at school for them. Please plan an extra 10 minutes into your schedule so we have time to locate your student and send them to the office.
