The Graduate Support Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring Hope Academy graduates are supported, encouraged, and equipped as they transition from high school into college, career, and adulthood. This person begins developing relationships with students during their senior year of high school, helping them prepare for life after graduation through postsecondary planning and spiritual encouragement. After graduation, the Coordinator maintains meaningful contact with alumni for up to three years, supporting their growth, connecting them to mentors, and helping track key outcomes. The Graduate Support Coordinator also leads the coordination of the Covenant Graduate Mentorship Program (a 3-year mentorship arc which acts as the capstone of Hope Academy’s Remarkable K-12 arc), alumni communication, and graduate-focused events. Working closely with the Director of Graduate Success and the broader College, Career & Graduate Support Team, this role strengthens Hope’s long-term investment in its graduates through relational care, systems support, and Christ-centered encouragement. Salary range is $55,000-$60,000 based on qualifications and years of experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Mentorship & Graduate Engagement
- Build meaningful relationships with scholars during their senior year to lay the foundation for post-graduation support and mentorship.
- Assist graduating seniors in identifying their post-secondary goals and preparing for next steps after high school.
- Coordinate the Covenant Graduate Mentorship Program, including mentor recruitment, onboarding, communication, and monthly engagement check-ins.
- Support the matching of mentors and graduating seniors based on interest, calling, and relational fit.
- Help initiate and maintain ongoing communication with graduates through phone calls, texts, emails, and check-ins during their first three years post-graduation.
- Track engagement and outcomes of graduates, including school persistence, employment, and spiritual connection.
Communication & Administration
- Maintain accurate alumni contact records, mentorship logs, and program data.
- Assist with annual Covenant signings and help students understand postsecondary expectations before they graduate.
- Develop communication pieces for alumni (newsletters, prayer requests, job opportunities, event updates, etc.).
- Support the Director of Graduate Success in preparing reports for leadership and donors, including stories and outcomes.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Lead the vision and purpose for graduate-focused events, ensuring each gathering is relational, meaningful, and aligned with Hope Academy’s mission and values.
- Develop content, themes, and goals for events such as:
- Covenant Graduate Celebration
- Collaborate with the Graduate Support Operations Assistant to ensure effective planning and smooth execution of event details.
- Serve as a host and relational presence at events, actively engaging graduates, mentors, and guests.
Collaboration
- Work closely with College & Career team to ensure strong transitions and alignment between high school support and post-graduate mentorship.
- Participate in team meetings, prayer, and community-building efforts within the department and school.
- Serve as a spiritual encourager and consistent presence in the lives of alumni.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep commitment to Christ and to Hope Academy’s mission
- Relationally gifted with a passion for youth, alumni, and mentorship
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
- Successful experience guiding students through college and career planning and application. Previous experience with the “Common App” preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; strong administrative experience required
Work Hours & Environment
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, with some evening/weekend events
- Position is primarily in-person, with off-site visits and occasional travel to connect with alumni
