Position: Summer Intern, 360° Virtual Tour & Building Documentation
Location: Hope Commons Campus, Minneapolis
Reports To: Paul Guidera, Property Manager
Compensation: $20–$23 per hour (paid internship), commensurate with experience
Term: Summer 2026; flexible start date following the school year
Estimated Hours: Approximately 130–160+ hours across two project phases
Hope Commons is seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented intern to assist with the creation of a comprehensive 360° virtual tour and building documentation system across the Hope Commons campus.
Using a Ricoh 360 camera and the Ricoh Tours platform, the intern will help digitally document rooms, hallways, building systems, and key campus spaces to support long-term facilities management and campus operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in technology, digital imaging, organization systems, and project coordination.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in photography, videography, architecture, construction, technology, facilities management, engineering, real estate, or design.
Phase 1 - Image Capture & Documentation, 30–60 hours
Phase 2 - Data Entry, Tagging & Organization, 100+ hours
Phase 1 – Image Capture & Documentation
· Learn to operate the Ricoh 360 camera and Ricoh Tours platform (training provided)
· Systematically capture 360° imagery of rooms, hallways, stairwells, mechanical spaces, and exterior areas throughout campus buildings
· Upload, organize, label, and manage digital files within the Ricoh Tours platform
· Maintain consistency and quality across all captured imagery
· Follow schedules and building access procedures carefully and professionally
Phase 2 – Data Entry & Building Tagging
· Enter room details, building-system information, and digital tags into the virtual tour platform
· Maintain accurate records of completed and remaining spaces
· Assist in organizing and verifying building information for long-term operational use
· Communicate project progress regularly with the supervising team
· Identify and report missing information, access issues, or inconsistencies
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
· Comfortable learning new technology and software systems
· Reliable, professional, and trustworthy
· Strong communication skills
· Experience with photography, videography, cameras, editing tools, spreadsheets, or data entry is helpful but not required
